I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nestlé Purina U.S. (Clinton, IA) in Oct 2024
Interview
I had a 2 step interview process for a role in Clinton, Iowa, which began with an online call with a recruiter that lasted around 40 minutes. After that, I was invited for an on-site interview, with the company covering all travel expenses.
During the on-site, I had three 30 minute interviews with different managers, including R&D Engineering Managers, Facility Engineers, an HR Manager, and Manufacturing/IT Managers. Everyone was very welcoming and easy to talk to, which made the interviews feel comfortable. I had prepared thoroughly, anticipating general, situational, and behavioral questions, but some of the specific questions asked didn’t quite align with the examples I had prepared, so I ended up using similar examples across multiple interviews.
I brought several questions for each interviewer, but due to time limits, I couldn’t get answers to everything. I realized that I might have asked too many questions, which could have come off as excessive. However, the social hour on first night was a highlight. It gave me a chance to connect with the team and appreciate the diversity among the MDAs. I noticed that the company culture and environment were quite different from what I’m used to, which made the opportunity even more interesting to me.
