The interview process was streamlined and focused on assessing my experience as a lateral hire. It began with an introductory HR call where we discussed my background, previous roles, and alignment with the organisation’s needs. This was followed by a technical conversation with the hiring manager and team, where they evaluated my hands‑on skills, problem‑solving approach, and familiarity with identity and access management workflows. The process concluded with a culture‑fit discussion and clarification of role expectations.

I interviewed for the role and advanced to the second round. After the interview process, I was told they were moving forward with other candidates because I lacked direct consulting experience. That requirement was already clear from my resume before the interview process began, so it was disappointing to invest the time only to be screened out for something that could have been identified during the initial resume review or recruiter conversation. The process felt inefficient and avoidable from a candidate's perspective.
