Take home coding challenge and talking through the solution with team members

Completed the technical challenge and received excellent feedback. After that, I met with the development manager. The development manager was narcissistic and did all the talking about his own accomplishments and failed to ask a single question about my experience in the 45 minute meeting. While the meeting ended on a positive note, after a few days I received mixed feedback that didn't align with my experience at all, saying I didn't qualify based on the outcome of the meeting. Overall it was a huge waste of time and effort and the little feedback I did receive didn't align with my actual experience. My take away is this. The company is a start up and operates like a true start up. Based on my discussion with the development manager, you shouldn't expect any collaboration, any development processes to be in place (no agile methodology or two weeks sprints), it seems code is deployed as needed, meetings with colleagues are discouraged and the development manager isn't approachable or very stable. I'd proceed with extreme caution and reconsider whether working for such a start up is worth it.
