During a virtual career fair outreach campaign, I spoke with a student who was hesitant to register because they weren't sure the event would be worth their time and were unsure how the process worked. I took the time to ask about their career goals and listened to their concerns. Based on what they shared, I explained how the career fair could help them connect with employers in their field and walked them through the registration process step-by-step. By the end of our conversation, the student felt more confident, registered for the event, and was excited about the opportunity to network with employers.
