- if they can actually produce good code
- the thought process, and how they tackle the problem, tests first-last, no tests, etc.
- whether they make sure they understand the task at hand
- whether they try to find out what they don't understand about the requirements or code

Note that they now use ES6-7. Some CoffeeScript might remain as legacy code.
