Invitae Interview Question

The technical interviews were focused on practical software engineering. No algorithm questions, which was refreshing in an industry where we are constantly judged on our ability to "find the shortest substring that has ...", etc. They gave me a repository of code to check out and get running 24 hours before the big interview, and most of that interview was me working in that repo from a list of tasks to choose from on a Trello board. There was also a 30 minute design/architecture session, where I was given requirements and told to diagram a system (using Google slides) that meets the requirements.
