As the Art Teacher for PB Smith Elementary School for the 1/2 of the 2021/2022 School year I was grateful to have had prior experience teaching art for the 2020/2021 school year at Taylor Middle School. Though I enjoyed both positions I fell in love with the elementary students! As a full time sculptor/owner/operator of a niche company building exhibits for zoos, aquarium, nature, botanical and children's gardens as well as theme parks, it was my main job to teach personnel with varying levels of experience how to create large scale permanent exhibits that required both sculpting and specialty painting. Many of my pupils had little or no experience but I found it immensely fulfilling to share techniques and paint processes and to watch them bloom!
