Hope is not a strategy - failure to plan indicates there are no clearly defined next steps, risks or positive outcome. I believe thoroughly planning a project by identifying the desired outcome, milestones and tasks to achieve the outcome, and determining risks prior to project initiation will greatly improve the chances for success in project management.
