I answered that I wanted a change from my current role because I felt I had a better knack for the operations and analytical side of things due to recent experiences and situations I had at my current workplace and they kept pushing for why this role and team specifically. It genuinely felt like they were waiting for me to say “I love payments” and if you didn’t say that you were out of the running and that was really weird and culty.
