What You'll Do:

Responsibilities include:

• Use technical skills to do actuarial research and calculations and provide actuarial services and support to other departments
• Recommend innovative changes to help better serve Principal’s customers through improvements in execution, product enhancements, and/or the use of new technologies

Who You Are:

• You have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• You have successfully completed at least one exam in the education system of the Society of Actuaries is required.
• You have the ability to continue to pass exams and achieve your FSA designation at an accelerated pace.
• You are knowledgeable of actuarial mathematics such as probability and statistics, numerical analysis, compound interest, and life contingencies is required.

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

• Multiple actuarial exams completed.
• Previous actuarial internship or work experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with spreadsheets, database and actuarial modeling software.

Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $73150 - $99750 / year Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
