Summary

Alkon Corporation is a leading company in the industry, known for our commitment to quality and excellence in manufacturing. We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team. The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and maintaining production of pneumatic fittings and components. This role ensures that all parts meet quality and production standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Essential Functions

• Understand, support and follow the Corporate Quality Policy and Mission Statements.
• Support company goals and objectives to provide quality products to our customers.
• Assemble parts according to work instructions using fixtures and tools as needed.
• Build quality products through consistent attention to detail.
• Conduct visual quality inspections; inform supervisory staff of concerns as needed.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
• Perform basic recordkeeping duties as needed.
• Complete product packaging as needed.
• Train other assemblers as appropriate and according to level of expertise.
• Work at various stations during the assembly process as required by production need; may require changing production areas or location within the plant.
• Perform job duties in a manner that maintains compliance with policies, procedures and environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment may be loud at times. Hearing protection is required in designated areas and available to all employees.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift and carry minimum 35 pounds of material throughout the shift
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, including up to 10 hours
• Manual skills and ability to handle small tools and equipment
• Regularly required to communicate and work as a team

Hours of Operation

Normal business hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm. However, hours may vary depending on shift needs. Some Friday work may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
