Automotive Service Technician "A" (Certified )

Lester Glenn Auto Group one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in New Jersey is looking for motivated, people friendly, & goal oriented Automotive Certified "A" Technician for our Chevy of Freehold Dealership location. The Automotive Technician will be working in a new Service Department, equipped with A.C. along with brand new equipment and special Service Tools as they will be responsible for the actual service and/or repair of vehicles assigned to them by service management or their designated representatives. Our Chevy Service Department is a Union shop.

Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to:

· Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards

· Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification

· Perform Routine inspections , system diagnostics, full automotive troubleshooting and testing

· Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers

· Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made and provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs

- Video MPI's as well

Requirements:

Include but are not limited to:

· Automotive technician (ASE certification required )

· Minimum 3-5 years experience

· Chevy and/or GM (Certified Techs ) experience Required

· Solid mechanical skills

· Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service

· Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.)

· Valid driver’s license, clean driving record
