Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Company: TLC Jet & Toledo Jet
Position Summary
TLC Aviation is seeking a Director of Fleet Development & Aircraft Owner Account Manager to drive growth across two of our businesses — TLC Jet, our Part 135 charter and aircraft management company, and Toledo Jet, our FAA Part 145 maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operation. You will expand the TLC Jet managed fleet by selling aircraft management services to prospective owners, generate maintenance sales for Toledo Jet's repair stations, and own the ongoing account relationship with each owner — from first conversation through onboarding, service delivery, and renewal.
The role works closely with executive leadership, repair station management, operations, scheduling, and accounting to grow both businesses and deliver a seamless owner experience. The ideal candidate brings strong industry relationships, a solid grasp of aircraft ownership economics, industry knowledge of both Part 135 charter and Part 145 maintenance operations, and a proven ability to close deals and retain clients.
Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Management Sales & Fleet Growth (TLC Jet)
- Lead management program sales from prospecting through contract execution, placing owner aircraft onto the TLC Jet Part 135 certificate.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective aircraft owners and operators.
- Prepare management presentations, proposals, and proforma budgets; educate owners on ownership costs, charter revenue, and operational efficiencies.
- Negotiate and close management agreements and support fleet growth and diversification initiatives.
Maintenance & MRO Sales (Toledo Jet)
- Drive maintenance sales across Toledo Jet's FAA Part 145 repair stations at Fort Lauderdale (FXE) and Toledo (TOL).
- Pursue MRO opportunities — scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, inspections, avionics, component work, and AOG support — and promote station capabilities to owners, operators, and flight departments.
- Prepare service proposals and estimates with repair station leadership (GM, Chief Inspector, QA), matching work to the right facility.
- Cross-sell across the family: TLC Jet owners into Toledo Jet maintenance, and Toledo Jet customers into TLC Jet management and charter.
Owner Account Management (TLC Jet)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned owners once their aircraft enters the Part 135 program; lead onboarding and entry into service.
- Run regular account reviews covering utilization, revenue, expenses, and maintenance; prepare and clearly explain monthly owner settlement statements.
- Advocate internally across operations, maintenance, scheduling, and accounting to resolve issues and manage expectations on availability and downtime.
- Administer agreement terms and renewals and identify upsell and retention opportunities (expanded charter marketing, added aircraft, Toledo Jet maintenance).
Relationships & Industry Engagement
- Build long-term relationships with owners, operators, flight departments, brokers, and industry partners as a trusted advisor.
- Represent TLC Jet and Toledo Jet at industry events and associations, and monitor market trends and competitive positioning across both charter/management and MRO.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
- 5+ years of business aviation experience (aircraft management, brokerage, manufacturing, MRO, charter, or related).
- Strong understanding of aircraft ownership, operating costs, charter revenue models, maintenance services, and management programs.
- Demonstrated account management experience — client reporting, issue resolution, and retention.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; self-motivated and results oriented.
- Ability to travel as needed for client and business development activities.
Preferred
- Existing relationships within the business aviation community.
- Experience selling aircraft management and/or maintenance / MRO services.
- Familiarity with FAA Part 145 repair station operations and Part 91/135 operations.
- Experience preparing or reviewing owner settlement statements and charter revenue/expense reconciliations.
