About This Role

Apple Designs is a signage and wayfinding firm looking for a skilled technical draftsperson with strong Revit proficiency to join our production team. If your background includes sign fabrication, wayfinding, structural design, architecture, planning, or interior design, you could be a great fit. What matters most is that you can read architectural plans, have a sharp eye for detail, and bring solid technical skills to the table. We'll get you up to speed quickly on how those skills apply within the world of signage and wayfinding — the learning curve for the right person is short.

This position is based in our Raleigh, NC studio on a hybrid schedule. We have a preference for candidates located in Raleigh or open to relocation, though we welcome applications from remote candidates who bring the right level of expertise and a proven track record of working independently in a remote capacity.

Responsibilities

• Produce signage location plans, message schedules, and design intent documentation in Revit across projects of various scales
• Collaborate with clients, designers, architects, general contractors, and fabricators throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare construction and installation documentation for signage systems
• Extract views and elevations from Revit models
• Model signage systems and individual sign components in Revit
• Coordinate signage requirements with structural, electrical, and other project consultants
• Build detailed Revit families and model components for signage applications
• Coordinate signage placement with architectural conditions including door frames, lighting, and surrounding finishes
• Manage shared Revit models in coordination with outside consultants and architects
• Produce sheet sets in Revit for project deliverables
• Travel to project sites periodically to conduct signage surveys, oversee installations, and complete punch lists

What You Bring

• Revit proficiency is required
• Associate's degree in drafting or a related technical field from an accredited program
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, design, or a related field is a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail
• 2+ years of hands-on Revit experience
• Organized, precise, and able to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Clear communicator who works well in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and genuine investment in the quality of your work
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, Enscape, Navisworks, and AutoDesk Construction Cloud

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
