Year-round role: full-time (~40 hrs/week) April through August during peak season. Scaling to ~25 hrs/week September through March.

LUNA Sandals is looking for someone who can tell our story through our social channels, take care of our customers, and hold down our retailer section doors in Wenatchee, all at once. This is a rare, do-it-all role for someone who wants real ownership at a small brand: you’ll be the voice behind our social channels (using AI tools to plan and speed up content production), the calm, capable second line when a customer needs extra help, and the face of our seasonal retail shop. About LUNA

LUNA Sandals makes minimalist running and adventure sandals, handcrafted in a converted 1940s apple storage building in Wenatchee, Washington. Our USA line is built one pair at a time by a small team of makers who cut, stitch, and lace every sandal by hand: a craft rooted in the Tarahumara running tradition that inspired our founder. We’re a small, tightly knit team, and everyone here wears more than one hat.

About the Role

You’ll be one of the most visible people at LUNA, both online and in person. On social, you’re creating and posting the content that shows people what we’re about: the factory, the makers, the product, the community. You will be closely working with our Founder Barefoot Ted to include him in LUNA’s social channels.

On the ground, you’re the escalation point for our customer service associate, the person who makes returns painless, and the one who keeps our factory retail shop running smoothly through its seasonal rush. A year in, you’ll have built a social presence that feels genuinely LUNA, a customer experience people talk about, and potentially a track record of local activations and collaborations that put LUNA on the map in Central Washington.

What You’ll Do

• Dream, plan, shoot, edit, and publish social content (photo and video) that captures the factory, the product, and the people behind LUNA
• Use AI tools day-to-day to run social planning and speed up content creation: content calendars, captions, editing, ideation, and repurposing footage across platforms
• Serve as the escalation point of contact for our customer service associate. Stepping in on the issues that need more judgment or a personal touch
• Own the returns process end to end, and handle a light volume of inbound customer phone calls
• Run our mostly seasonal retail shop at the factory: customer experience, merchandising, and day-to-day operations
• Look for opportunities to build local activations, events, and community collaborations around Wenatchee and Central Washington
• Pitch in on light factory assembly during production crunches (not a core duty, but a welcome one)

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Experience creating social content (photo/video) for a brand. You can point to work you’re proud of
• Hands-on comfort with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Canva AI) for content planning, ideation, and production. This is core to how we work, not a nice-to-have
• Experience in a customer-facing service role, with the judgment to handle escalations calmly
• Strong, clear written communication
• Comfortable working independently and wearing multiple hats on a small team
• Reliable, in-person availability in Wenatchee, WA, including seasonal retail hours

Preferred (nice to have)

• Retail or shopkeeping experience
• Interest in the production process, with a willingness to help with hand-assembly as needed
• Experience building local partnerships, pop-ups, or grassroots brand activations
• Familiarity with running, hiking, or outdoor/adventure culture
