This hands-on role focuses on assembling, testing, and supporting complex laboratory equipment used in high-complexity genetic research. You follow detailed manufacturing work instructions and standard operating procedures, perform inspections and functional tests to verify quality conformance, and strictly adhere to safety protocols. The position requires strong hand-eye coordination, careful attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex manufacturing instructions and engineering drawings while working closely with manufacturing engineers, quality teams, and peers in a collaborative environment.

Work Environment
You work in a laboratory and light manufacturing environment that supports high-complexity genetic research. The role focuses on assembly and testing of non-production laboratory equipment using hand tools and lab tools, with no fabrication work required. You follow detailed SOPs and documentation, sometimes spanning 10 to 200 pages, and support approximately five different lab instruments or systems. The team currently consists of about eight people and is expanding, offering a collaborative setting where new team members receive a buddy for onboarding, shadow experienced colleagues, and transition to supervised builds. You regularly interface with manufacturing engineers and quality personnel and use systems such as SAP for end-of-day documentation and quality records. Work involves handling chemicals or reagents under established safety protocols and may require repetitive arm and wrist motions and lifting up to 25 lbs. The environment emphasizes precision, adherence to GMP and quality standards, and structured processes that support advanced research applications.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
