Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD and Lab Technician to join our innovative design and engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible drafting detailed construction documentation, and supporting laboratory testing processes. Your expertise will help translate conceptual ideas into accurate technical drawings and prototypes, ensuring project specifications that meet customer expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects across multiple industries, such as, chemical, mining, petrochemical, and more. You will be working in a collaborative environment where your skills will directly impact project success.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed construction drawings and schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD
• Assist in building information modeling (BIM) processes to coordinate design data across multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare construction detail documentation ensuring adherence to standards, and client specifications.
• Conduct laboratory testing support including sample preparation, data collection, and analysis for materials or structural components.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders on product design to provide a custom solution for their specific needs

Skills

• Perform testing and calibration of equipment according to established procedures and industry standards.
• Record and document all lab activities, inspections, and tests in an organized and timely manner using our designated systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools, and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, and report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• CAD drawings for new cloths and creation of new part numbers
• Technical clarification regarding production with the ability to provide feedback to our team or customers
• Production planning/work preparation, including loading cutting files
• Ability to learn and attain efficiency performing preventive maintenance in the lab, growing this to cover items in the production area.
• Identify cloth styles and capture their measurements to complete a detailed sketch.
• The ability to communicate using multiple methods to stakeholders – customers, fellow employees, and vendors/suppliers.

Pay: From $22.50 per hour
