Biomedical Field Service Engineer
A fast-growing medical device company located in Fort Mill, SC is looking for a highly motived and detailed individual for our Field Service Engineer. This is a full-time, remote career opportunity that includes a generous benefits package. This is a West Coast-based position, where 70-80% of time will be spent traveling nationally to maintain our customer equipment. Please include cover letter and resume when applying.
Job Summary/Overview
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for successfully completing required training on our medical products and participating in practical field training in preparation for work assignments. Primarily responsible for field-based preventative maintenance of customer equipment, as well as repair work on equipment. Required to be able to perform repair activities as assigned under the direction or supervision. Requires timely and accurate completion of administrative duties including but not limited to service documentation, visit scheduling, part ordering, investigation report write-ups, and expense reports. Works to ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship, documentation and customer communication.

Qualifications:
Biomedical Engineering degree or equivalent technical training, recognized by regional professional bodies such as ASEE.
More than five years’ experience as FSE or BME required.
Preference to an individual with diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, customer service and communication, adaptability and flexibility, time management and organizational skills, and safety awareness and compliance.
Solid understanding of both analog & digital electronics and strong grasp of electro-mechanical concepts.
Experience with diagnosing operating system problems, networking problems and system software problems and taking corrective actions.
Must be able to work and travel up to 80% at hospital sites and maintain proper vendor credentialing standards and requirements.
Must be able to travel internationally.
Able to work on own initiative with a small team environment.
Experience working with hospitals and medical companies a plus.
Experience in Perfusion Departments a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
