Duties

• Assist in collecting property data, including legal descriptions, physical characteristics, and market information for residential and commercial properties
• Support the appraisal review process by analyzing property values and ensuring compliance with fair housing regulations and legal standards
• Conduct quantitative research and data analysis to support accurate property valuation and market trend assessments
• Prepare detailed appraisal reports, including financial summaries, property descriptions, and valuation conclusions
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools such as spreadsheets and word processing software to organize data and draft reports
• Participate in property inspections, gathering information on construction quality, condition, and improvements
• Collaborate with team members to analyze real estate market conditions and contribute to property tax assessments and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) evaluations

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, and data analysis techniques
• Experience or familiarity with construction processes, building materials, or related fields is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel spreadsheets for data management and analysis
• Knowledge of residential and commercial property appraisal methods and real estate market analysis
• Ability to interpret legal descriptions and understand property tax assessment procedures
• Excellent math skills with attention to detail for accurate data collection and valuation calculations
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and report writing
• Prior experience or coursework in real estate appraisal, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), or tax assessment is advantageous
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in real estate valuation practices
