Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide evidence-based psychotherapy services to individuals, families, and couples, fostering positive change and emotional well-being. Your expertise will support clients through various challenges such as severe drug and alcohol addiction, behavioral health symptoms, trauma, and personal relationships. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical guidelines and best practices.
• Provide individual, group, family, and couples therapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and evidence-based approaches.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies.
• Document clinical encounters accurately following HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards; maintain detailed electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, case management efforts, and community resources for optimal patient outcomes.
• Assisting with new intakes and aftercare discharge planning when needed.
• Collect data on treatment progress and adjust therapeutic approaches accordingly.

Requirements

• Accredited and active AMFT license.
• Preferred but not required training in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, behavioral management, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Familiarity with healthcare diagnosis codes (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology.
• Strong clinical documentation skills adhering to HIPAA standards; ability to accurately record patient care activities and treatment outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining ethical standards per clinical guidelines.
