$4,000 Bonus Eligible Position for Full-Time

JOB DUTIES

• Assess home health pediatric patient for rehabilitative and functional status.
• Regularly re-evaluate the patient’s/client’s occupational therapy need and evaluate the outcomes of care on a regular basis.
• Occupational Therapist develops, initiates, and revises the plan of care as necessary to ensure quality and continuity of care.
• Identifies deficits including but not limited to strength, fine motor coordination, sensory dysfunction, motor planning and self-care, including feeding and the potential for intervention. Evaluates the home environment.
• Occupational Therapist evaluates the need for and recommends DME devices and aides.
• Uses infection control measures that protect both the staff and the patient (OSHA).
• Coordinates services. Informs the physician and other personnel of changes in the patient's/client’s condition and needs.
• Occupational Therapist demonstrates commitment and professional growth by participating in in-service programs and maintaining or improving competency.
• Supervises, teaches, and provides clinical direction to other occupational therapy personnel as required or requested.
• Promote Agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
• Occupational Therapist provides effective communication to patients/clients, their family members, team members, and other health care professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, with Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree
• One year of experience as an Occupational Therapist in a pediatric clinical care setting preferred
• Pediatric Home health experience preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Current Texas State license as an Occupational Therapist
• Current Driver’s License
