The Riverside County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder's (ACR) Office seeks to fill multiple Assessor- County Clerk- Recorder Technician Trainee/l/ll positions in the Desert. Current position is located in Palm Desert.
The selected candidates will process marriage licenses, perform civil ceremonies, and handle fictitious business name filings, including abandonments and withdrawals. Incumbents will register notaries, legal document assistants (LDAs), unlawful detainer assistants (UDAs), process servers, and professional photocopiers. Additionally, they will issue vital records such as birth, marriage, and death certificates; provide certified copies of recorded documents; and review and record legal documents related to real property. ACR Technicians will also answer phone calls, respond to basic assessor-related inquiries, and provide information to the public. Other related duties may be assigned as needed.
The most competitive candidate will possess strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Candidates should also have experience working with Eagle Recorder, Aumentum, and Tyler software programs, demonstrating the ability to efficiently manage records, data, and administrative processes in a professional environment.
The level at which the position will be filled is at the discretion of the department.

Assessor-Clerk-Recorder Technician Trainee - $19.7095 -$25.9503 Hourly
Assessor-Clerk-Recorder Technician I - $24.4237 $32.0633 Hourly
Assessor-Clerk-Recorder Technician II - $25.9110 $34.0584 Hourly
Meet the Team!
The Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder (ACR) has a staff of over 375 employees located in offices throughout Riverside County. The Assessor is responsible for locating, identifying, and valuing all taxable property in Riverside County. The Recorder is responsible for providing the public with constructive notice of private acts and for creating and maintaining custody of permanent records for all documents filed and recorded in Riverside County. The County Clerk services range from issuing marriage licenses and performing marriage ceremonies to accepting filings of fictitious business name statements. The Records Management Archives Program (RMAP) unit provides professional records management services, and the Archives Program provides public access to the history of Riverside County.
ASSESSOR-CLERK-RECORDER-TECHNICIAN-TRAINEE
($40,996- $53,977 Annually)
Experience: One year of clerical experience in a field related to the major functions of the County of Riverside's ACR. (Completion of 30 semester or 45 quarter units from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required full-time experience.)
Knowledge of: Modern office practices and procedures including filing and operating standard office equipment; basic arithmetic; proper telephone and reception techniques.
Ability to: Learn to review, understand, apply, and how to explain laws, regulations, and policies governing legal documents; learn to read and interpret maps, titles, property descriptions, assessment records, and related documents; perform basic arithmetical calculations; deal tactfully and courteously with the public; provide information and respond to questions from the public and establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and other staff members; attain and meet departmental production standards by the conclusion of the probationary period.
ASSESSOR-CLERK-RECORDER TECHNICIAN I
($50,801- $66,692 Annually)
OPTION I
Experience: One year as an ACR Technician Trainee with the County of Riverside.
OPTION II
Experience: Two years of clerical experience in a field related to the major functions of the County of Riverside's ACR Office. (Completion of 30 semester or 45 quarter units from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the required full-time experience.)
ALL OPTIONS
Knowledge of: The types and formats of recordable documents affecting title to property; legal document procedures and processes; property assessment factors and procedures; modern office practices and procedures; basic arithmetic.
Ability to: Review, understand, apply, and explain laws, regulations, and policies governing legal documents; read and interpret maps, titles, property descriptions, assessment records, and related documents; perform basic arithmetical calculations; deal tactfully and courteously with the public; provide information and respond to questions from the public and establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and other staff members; meet departmental production standards.
ASSESSOR-CLERK-RECORDER TECHNICIAN II
($53,895 -$70,841 Annually)
OPTION I
Experience: One year as a County of Riverside ACR Technician I.
OPTION II
Experience: Two years of performing duties equivalent to that of a County of Riverside ACR Technician I. (Completion of 30 semester or 45 quarter units from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the required full-time experience.)

Pre-Employment
