Job Overview:
The Licensed Psychotherapist (Pediatric IOP/PHP) - Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations and providing clinical leadership within a structured, high-acuity outpatient setting for children and adolescents.

This role is based at our Union location.

This role combines real-time operational management with clinical oversight to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality care. The Floor Manager supports staff, guides clinical decision-making, and maintains program flow while collaborating closely with program leadership.

Duties:

Daily Operations & Program Coordination

• Oversee daily programming to ensure groups and services run on schedule
• Monitor patient flow, including admissions, discharges, and transitions of care
• Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and address operational gaps in real time
• Respond to and resolve day-to-day issues impacting program function

Clinical Leadership & Oversight

• Provide real-time clinical guidance to therapists and behavioral health staff
• Observe group sessions and milieu interactions to ensure adherence to treatment standards
• Support clinical decision-making related to patient care, engagement, and safety
• Intervene in complex or escalated clinical situations as needed
• Assist with case consultation and care coordination

Crisis Management & Patient Safety

• Lead or support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts
• Ensure appropriate response to safety concerns, incidents, and high-risk situations
• Collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, and leadership during critical events
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic treatment environment

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Monitor quality and consistency of clinical programming
• Ensure compliance with documentation standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements
• Identify concerns and implement corrective actions as needed
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Staff Support & Development

• Provide coaching, feedback, and clinical support to staff
• Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members
• Promote accountability, professionalism, and adherence to clinical standards

Team Collaboration & Leadership

• Serve as the on-site clinical and operational lead during assigned shifts
• Communicate regularly with program leadership regarding performance and needs
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
• Contribute to program development and workflow improvements

Qualifications:

Education & Licensure

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting (IOP/PHP preferred)
• Experience working with children and/or adolescents required
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Active, unrestricted California license (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PsyD, PhD)

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
