Responsible for the coordination of key auxiliary services programs, including the day to day administration of the College’s textbook affordability program, campus card services, vendor relations, marketing initiatives, and the oversight of student workers.
What a day of an Auxiliary Services Specialist looks like:
- Reviews and maintains financial records including deposits, purchases, and other financial transactions.
- Oversees the College card issuance process. Reviews submissions for compliance with institutional guidelines, resolves discrepancies, and ensures secure activation and distribution of cards that provide access to campus services and systems.
- Maintains appropriate textbook affordability tags and corresponding charges. Audits to ensure billing accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Integrates funds on various College cards. Reconciles the pertaining funds to ensure accurate reporting.
- system errors and failures. Collaborates with IT and third-party vendors to mitigate operational risk and prevent disruptions that would impact campus access, bookstore purchasing, and core student services.
- Coordinates the activities of two or more staff. Assists in scheduling, training, and administrative requirements. This may include student workers, temporary employees, and volunteers.
- Executes department marketing initiatives in collaboration with College stakeholders, overseeing the development, review, and dissemination of materials that support student engagement and program awareness.
- Produces reports for internal and external stakeholders, consolidating data from multiple systems to support institutional reporting requirements, program oversight, and informed decision making.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Associate degree
- Two years of related experience
Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
Skilled in:
- Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management

Ability to:
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service
