Job Summary: The Project Manager leads the delivery of EvolveUp's client consulting engagements across its service lines — workforce transformation, HR technology implementation, and fractional HR consulting. The role owns each engagement from kickoff through close: defining scope and deliverables, building and tracking the project plan, tracking milestones, and coordinating scheduling with EvolveUp's internal client delivery team, vendors, contractors and internal client teams. The Project Manager keeps engagements on scope, on schedule, and within the agreed budget and engagement model, while keeping both client stakeholders and EvolveUp leadership informed throughout. Success means consulting engagements that are delivered cleanly, profitably, and in a way that strengthens the client relationship and EvolveUp's reputation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provides day-to-day direction to the EvolveUp team members and contractors assigned to an engagement.
- Coordinates work across internal resources, client-side stakeholders, and outside vendors or partners.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Define engagement objectives, milestones and deliverables aligned to each client project based upon the statement of work and in partnership with EvolveUp leadership.
- Build and manage a detailed project plan and schedule in Google sheets or Monday.com, sequencing work and managing dependencies across the engagement.
- Plan and allocate the resources needed to meet objectives, and manage the assigned team's time and capacity efficiently.
- Track engagement budget, hours, and burn against the agreed engagement model (hourly, retainer, or combination), and flag scope or budget risk early.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, providing consistent updates on strategy, progress, and adjustments.
- Manage contracts and deliverables with vendors and implementation partners, assigning tasks and holding parties to expected outcomes.
- Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and adjust the plan as needed to keep the engagement on track.
- Apply EvolveUp's delivery methodology and HR/workforce best practices throughout each engagement.
- Measure engagement performance against scope, timeline, and budget, and capture lessons learned to improve future delivery.
- Support pre-engagement scoping and proposal/RFP work where project management input strengthens the bid.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven ability to deliver client consulting engagements on time, on budget, and within scope while meeting or exceeding client expectations.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements in a fast-paced, at times high-pressure environment.
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills; resourceful and able to solve problems creatively.
- Working fluency in HR and workforce topics sufficient to lead engagements credibly and coordinate subject-matter experts.
- Strong familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to track engagement budgets, hours, and profitability.
- Experience managing engagements through the full project life cycle.
- Strong business judgment

- 5–8 years of project management experience, ideally in a consulting or client-services setting.
- Prior consulting experience leading client-facing engagements.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Exposure to HR, workforce, or HR technology implementation engagements is a plus.
