Position: Medical Records Clerk / Senior Data Entry Operator
Location: Framingham, MA 01702
Job Type: Full-Time contract (40 hours/week)
Duration: 7+ Months (with high possibility of extension)

Job Summary

We are seeking detail-oriented Digitization Technicians / Senior Data Entry Operators to support a large-scale medical records digitization project. In this role, you will be responsible for converting paper-based records into secure electronic files while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with healthcare data privacy standards. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in data entry, document scanning, records management, or administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare paper medical records for scanning and digitization.
• Scan, index, organize, and upload documents into the electronic document management system.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure scanned records are complete, accurate, and properly indexed.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard sensitive healthcare information.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and organizational policies for document handling and data security.
• Assist with records management, document filing, and archiving activities.
• Work collaboratively with the team while managing assigned tasks independently.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy in a high-volume document processing environment.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a healthcare, medical records, or Health Information Management (HIM) environment?
• Experience in document scanning, data entry, records management, administrative support, or a related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to lift and move records or file boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with electronic document management systems (EDMS).
• Familiarity with healthcare records or Health Information Management (HIM) processes.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and handling confidential information.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
