Seasonal Concrete Finisher (July–August)
Center Mass Concrete, LLC –Fairbanks, Alaska

Center Mass Concrete, LLC is hiring experienced Concrete Finishers for our busy summer construction season. This is a full-time seasonal position for the months of July through August, with the potential for additional work based on project needs and performance.

Our crews perform commercial, industrial, heavy civil, airport, military, and public infrastructure slip form paving concrete work throughout Alaska. Employees will be part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality craftsmanship while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Compensation

• Competitive pay, including Alaska Prevailing Wage rates on qualifying public works projects.
• Overtime opportunities available.
• Travel, lodging, and per diem may be provided depending on project location.

Primary Responsibilities

• Place, screed, bull float, edge, joint, broom, and steel trowel concrete surfaces.
• Finish slabs, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, foundations, walls, and other structural concrete.
• Maintain proper grades, elevations, slopes, and surface tolerances.
• Operate power trowels, screeds, concrete vibrators, and other finishing equipment.
• Work closely with form carpenters, laborers, operators, and supervisors during concrete placements.
• Perform patching, repairs, curing, and protection of finished concrete.
• Read and follow construction drawings, project specifications, and supervisor direction.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and maintain a safe jobsite.
• Follow all OSHA, project, and Center Mass Concrete safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous concrete finishing experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in Alaska's changing weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Dependable attendance.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work long hours, overtime, weekends, and travel as project schedules require.
• Ability to pass any required background checks, drug screenings, or military installation access requirements.
• Slip Form Paving Experience
