Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Content Specialist to create, edit, and optimize website content for a variety of clients. This role focuses on producing clear, engaging, SEO-friendly content that supports online visibility, user engagement, and conversion goals.

The ideal candidate has strong writing and editing skills, a basic understanding of SEO best practices, the ability to properly leverage AI tools and the ability to adapt their writing style across different industries and brand voices. This is a hands-on role that includes writing new content, improving existing pages, making routine website content updates, and supporting client-related content requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, proofread, and optimize website pages, landing pages, blog articles, and other digital content
• Create content based on approved keyword strategies, content briefs, and client goals
• Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across client accounts
• Structure content for readability, search visibility, and conversion
• Optimize headings, page structure, metadata alignment, and internal linking opportunities
• Avoid keyword stuffing and follow quality-focused SEO practices
• Review and revise content based on feedback, performance insights, or SEO recommendations
• Make routine content updates directly on client websites using HTML or internal website tools
• Process emails, tasks, support tickets, and content requests from the department queue
• Communicate with clients as needed regarding content questions, revisions, and project details
• Coordinate with SEO, Design, Production, colleagues, and third-party vendors when needed
• Track project progress, ticket statuses, revisions, approvals, and deadlines
• Follow internal documentation, workflow, and quality control standards

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Ability to write clearly across different industries, audiences, and brand voices
• Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals and content strategy
• Ability to incorporate keywords naturally and follow on-page SEO best practices
• Comfortable making basic content updates using HTML or website editing tools
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, including Google Docs, Sheets, and Meet
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage deadlines, revisions, and multiple content requests at once
• Willingness to learn internal software tools and workflow processes

• Written content quality, clarity, and accuracy
• SEO optimization within assigned content
• On-time delivery of assigned content tasks
• Content revisions based on feedback or performance insights
• Clear documentation and workflow updates

What This Role Does Not Own

• Overall SEO strategy
• Final keyword selection authority
• Website design decisions
• Client pricing, contracts, or project scope decisions

90-Day Review Period

This position includes an initial 90-day review period to evaluate role fit, performance, workflow consistency, and overall alignment with team expectations.
