Gilk Services is seeking a motivated and dependable HVAC Apprentice to join our growing team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry. You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in residential and/or commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist HVAC technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of heating and cooling systems
- Learn to troubleshoot HVAC equipment and identify issues
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Attend training sessions and actively develop technical skills
- Any other duties and responsibilities that can be assigned by management to enhance the progression of Gilk Services.
Minimum requirements of the HVAC Apprentice
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Interest in HVAC or mechanical systems
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Mechanical ability and excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Proficient in use of computer programs and technology related to the position
- Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces
- Well groomed, neat appearance
- Observe all company procedures and safety rules
- Maintain accurate time records and send to payroll when required
- Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction
