Gateway Unlimited Living is seeking a passionate, reliable and professional individual who is wanting to make a positive impact on the lives of those who suffer from mental illness. A Positive Support Specialist will work one and one with an induvial and as a team to assist an individual who needs support to correct undesirable behaviors.
Gateway is a Mental Health Service company, currently looking for Mental Health Practitioners to serve as Behavior Analysts and Behavior Specialists, providing positive support for individuals experiencing interfering behaviors. The ideal candidate(s) must have obtained an AA/BA in the social sciences or related field with demonstrated expertise in Positive (Behavior) Support services or therapy. The ideal candidate has a minimum of four years of supervised experience in conducting a functional Behavior assessments, designing, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of positive practices of behavior support strategies for individuals experiencing co-occurring mental disorders and neurological disorders.
This is a full time up to 40 hours
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Required Job Responsibilities:
- The ideal Behavior Specialist / Analyst will manage a caseload of 5-10 individuals
- Complete Functional Assessments
- Oversee the implementation of the person-centered positive support transition plan and/or behavior support plan.
- Train and direct waiver positive support specialist staff who implement the positive support transition plan or the positive behavior support plan.
- Supervise data collection by waiver positive support specialists and staff and caregivers.
- Provide feedback to and coordinate with the waiver positive support professional.
- Maintain a flexible schedule as jointly determined by client and the professional
- Keeping prompt communication with, or contact with clients, staff, and support teams via email, phone, and occasionally text (per employee discretion)
- Self-manage client and staff schedules ensuring all hour requirements are being met
- Be on time to all scheduled visits, meetings, and appointments
- Participate and write clients' positive and person-centered support plans, etc.
- Completing all necessary documentation to assure compliance with all state and federal regulations. These may include, but are not limited to: daily data sheet and clinical notes, attendance logs, time records, incident reports, behavior reports, etc.
- Ability to teach support staff and implement Positive Support behavior plans
- Collect & analyze data and help create a supportive environment the the individual served.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Positive Support Supervisor and/or Program Manager.
Required Education and Knowledge:
- BA/BS in Social Sciences required in the delivery of mental health services
- Ability to conduct Functional Behavioral assessments, design and implement positive behavioral plan and intervention with a desired outcome, while working under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional.
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of proper vehicle insurance
- Safe and reliable vehicle with ability to transport clients, if needed
- MUST pass Background Study and DHS Fingerprinting
- Experience in areas of employment directly related to the performance of this job as included in the above job requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using GSuite (GMail, Google Calendar, Google Sheets)
- OneDrive experience preferred'
