Healthcare Data Analytics Consultant
Overview
Are you a healthcare analytics professional who thrives on transforming complex data into meaningful business insights? Do you enjoy solving challenging client problems, uncovering trends, and influencing healthcare strategy through data? If so, we invite you to join our Health & Welfare Consulting team as a Data Analytics Consultant.
In this role, you'll support some of our largest and most sophisticated consulting clients, including organizations with employee populations exceeding 100,000 to 240,000 covered lives. You'll leverage healthcare claims data and advanced analytics to help clients make informed decisions around population health, healthcare costs, utilization trends, provider performance, and overall plan effectiveness.
This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise, strategic thinking, and consultative problem-solving while partnering with healthcare industry leaders and some of the most recognized health systems in the country.
This is a fully remote, temporary opportunity with the potential for conversion to a permanent role, offering the chance to make an immediate impact while building your career within a leading healthcare consulting organization.
How you'll make an impact
Responsibilities

Analyze large, complex healthcare claims datasets to identify trends, risks, cost drivers, and opportunities for improvement.

Utilize CedarGate, Innovu, and other healthcare analytics platforms to extract, manipulate, validate, and interpret healthcare data.

Develop customized reports, dashboards, and analyses that provide actionable insights to clients and consulting teams.

Lead research, development, and implementation of predictive and analytical models that support population health initiatives and healthcare strategy.

Apply advanced statistical and analytical techniques to uncover insights from medical, pharmacy, eligibility, utilization, and provider data.

Support client pursuits and consulting engagements through comprehensive claims analysis and healthcare performance reporting.

Investigate and respond to complex client inquiries by conducting targeted analyses and presenting clear, data-driven recommendations.

Evaluate provider network performance, utilization patterns, and healthcare outcomes across major health systems and provider organizations.

Partner with consulting, analytics, and technology teams to build and enhance reporting capabilities and analytical solutions.

Coordinate with technology partners to support the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of analytics tools, models, and reporting systems.

Translate complex findings into compelling, easy-to-understand insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Develop innovative approaches to solving healthcare challenges, identifying opportunities that may not be immediately apparent through traditional analysis.

Contribute subject matter expertise to cross-functional projects and occasionally represent the analytics function in broader business initiatives.
About You
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Healthcare Data Analytics, preferably within healthcare consulting, employer-sponsored health plans, benefits consulting, population health, health systems, or healthcare-related organizations.

Experience with CedarGate, Innovu, or similar healthcare analytics platforms.

Experience developing predictive models, advanced reporting frameworks, or data-driven decision support tools.

Knowledge of employer-sponsored health plans, healthcare cost containment strategies, provider performance measurement, and healthcare quality metrics.

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Experience working directly with clients and presenting analytical findings to stakeholders.

Proven ability to solve complex business problems using data-driven methodologies.

Experience creating customized reports, insights, and executive-level presentations.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and healthcare reporting tools.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to diverse audiences.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
