Position Summary:
The Fiber Validator is responsible for troubleshooting, testing, and validating network infrastructure, including fiber optic and CAT6 cabling, within active data center environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring network integrity during deployment, testing, and bootstrap operations by identifying and resolving connectivity issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic and CAT6 cabling during network testing activities
• Perform fiber optic testing, including OTDR testing on designated circuits
• Identify and resolve mis-cabled or mismatched network connections
• Re-seat, replace, or repair faulty cables as needed
• Support network validation efforts during testing phases
• Assist with bootstrap activities, including large-scale deployment support
• Utilize testing equipment to diagnose connectivity and performance issues
• Accurately document findings, issues, and resolutions
• Communicate updates and coordinate with teams via Slack and project portals
• Clearing errors

Qualifications:

• Preferred minimum 1 year experience with fiber optic and structured cabling systems (CAT6 or higher) in data center environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills in network environments
• Familiarity with OTDR testing and interpretation of results
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-demand deployment environments
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
