Job Summary
The Technical Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to production operations, troubleshooting technical issues, improving manufacturing processes, and supporting new product introduction. This role works closely with Production, Quality, Warehouse, and R&D teams to ensure production processes are stable, efficient, and properly documented.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide technical support for production lines and assist in resolving process, equipment, and product-related issues.
2. Support new product introduction, trial production, process validation, and production ramp-up activities.
3. Create, update, and maintain work instructions, technical standards, process documents, and SOPs.
4. Analyze technical problems and propose effective solutions to improve production efficiency and product quality.
5. Work with Quality and Production teams to investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
6. Support tooling, fixture, equipment, and process improvement projects.
7. Assist with employee technical training and ensure production teams understand key process requirements.
8. Monitor process stability and recommend improvements to reduce downtime, rework, and production variation.
9. Coordinate with suppliers or internal teams on technical issues related to materials, components, or equipment.
10. Support continuous improvement projects related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred.
2. Minimum 3 years of technical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, tools, and troubleshooting methods.
4. Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and process documents.
5. Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
6. Experience with process improvement, equipment troubleshooting, and production support preferred.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office. CAD, ERP, or manufacturing system experience is a plus.
8. Ability to communicate in both English and Chinese is a plus.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
