Specification Analyst – John Deere This is a high-impact, analytical 2+ year contract opportunity paying up to $32/hr, including 1 week of PTO. Operating onsite in East Moline, IL on a flexible 1st shift schedule, this role puts you at the operational core of product data execution. You will manage local unit tasks, execute change decisions via Enterprise Change Management (ECM) tools, audit Bills of Materials (BOMs), and partner across multiple business units to drive consistency and process improvement.
Position Details & Compensation
- Pay Rate: Up to $32/hr (W2).
- Location: Onsite at John Deere (East Moline, IL).
- Duration: 2+ Years (Providing excellent multi-year contract stability).
- Shift & Hours: 1st Shift (8 hours/day). Flexible core hours (e.g., 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; must be present during core hours of 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM).

Core Responsibilities
- Specification & BOM Execution: Process local unit tasks, perform part plan processing, update Bills of Materials (BOMs), and execute change decisions with strict audit standardization.
- Data Integrity & Quality Control: Monitor reports, execute Enterprise Change Management (ECM) tasks, and perform audit/part data checks to ensure absolute data integrity.
- Dedicated Project & Floating Support: Provide tactical execution and admin support for specification projects across multiple units to unify and drive standardization efforts.
- Analysis & Decision Support: Compile, analyze, and summarize technical materials and data sets to support business justifications and leadership decision-making.
- Process Alignment & Facilitation: Facilitate cross-functional meetings, adapt to evolving tool/process changes, and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Technical & Software Expertise: Proven proficiency in SAP and the Microsoft Office Suite (with advanced Excel skills required for data manipulation and analysis).
- Data Analysis & Detail Focus: Strong analytical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail when working with complex datasets, parts catalogs, and BOM structures.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable facilitating meetings and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability & Mindset: Continuous learner mindset with the flexibility to adapt to new internal/external process and tool changes rapidly.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate degree with strong relevant experience will be accepted.
