Purpose of Post:

The Jaq. Group is a fast-moving company which has experienced considerable growth. The Despatch Operative is responsible for accurately preparing, packing, and dispatching customer orders, ensuring they are presented to a high standard and shipped safely and on time to meet customer expectations.

Key Tasks include:

• Prepare customer orders for packing and despatch.
• Pack orders securely to ensure they arrive in excellent condition.
• Carry out quality checks on products before despatch to ensure accuracy and presentation standards are met.
• Ensure all required documentation is correctly completed and included with customer orders.
• Receive, unload, and process incoming deliveries, checking for accuracy and reporting any discrepancies.
• Liaise with courier partners to support the timely collection and delivery of orders.
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory control activities.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
• Support general warehouse operations and assist colleagues as required to meet business needs.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role as directed by management.

Requirements:

• Previous experience of materials handling & control in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Able and willing to work additional hours
