Job Overview
Join Diagonal Matrix as an AI / GenAI / LLM Engineer Intern and gain hands-on experience building practical AI applications using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, chatbot integrations, and agentic AI workflows.
This paid full-time internship is ideal for recent master’s graduates and students seeking practical training in AI engineering, Generative AI, LLM application development, RAG systems, and AI-powered automation.
Responsibilities
- Build and test Generative AI applications using LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI workflow design.
- Assist in developing RAG pipelines using documents, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval workflows.
- Work with Python, APIs, cloud services, and AI frameworks to create working AI application features.
- Support chatbot development, AI assistant workflows, and agentic AI use cases.
- Experiment with tools such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Chroma, FAISS, Pinecone, or similar technologies.
- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, safety, consistency, and business usefulness.
- Collaborate with software, data, and product teams to convert business requirements into AI solutions.
- Document prompts, workflows, model behaviour, architecture decisions, and implementation steps.
Requirements
- Recently completed a master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Strong foundation in Python programming.
- Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector search, or chatbot development.
- Exposure to APIs, cloud platforms, databases, or AI application development is desirable.
- Interest in building production-ready AI applications and business automation workflows.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn quickly.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
