Duties & Responsibilities
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using standard software development methodologies
- Debug and troubleshoot issues and perform Unit and Integration testing to ensure software quality and reliability
- Continuously learn new technologies and best practices to improve skills and stay up to date on relevant topics
- Assisting with exploring/testing AI-powered tools and workflows (automation scripts, AI-assisted coding tools, intelligent document processing) alongside Wiss Labs
- Supporting prototyping of simple AI/automation use cases under guidance from senior engineers
- Attend team meetings and participate in Agile development practices
- Establishing continuous integration/continuous development (CI/CD) pipeline for deployment automation
- User training or overview on the features implemented
- Monitoring of production environment and providing production support
What we are looking for:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to learn new technologies and languages as required by the role
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Experience with minimum one programming language and/or development platforms such as HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and/or CSS
- Understanding of software development methodologies
- Understanding of basic principles of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs)
- Understanding of Web Pages, and how to interact with the Document Object Model (DOM)
- Understanding of databases and basic SQL queries
- Curiosity about or exposure to AI tools is a plus, though not required
