Freight Broker Carrier Manager (or Carrier Relations Specialist)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the movement of client's goods, ensuring they are picked up and delivered on-time to the client's satisfaction
• Develop carrier base and negotiated rates in accordance with company policies
• Maintain sensible business integrity in all business decisions
• Follow a culture of continuous quality improvement aimed at the highest level of customer satisfaction
• Record all necessary information into applicable software applications.
• Confer with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise

Education and/or Experience:

· A minimum of 1-2 years of similar or related experience in the transportation industry

· Associates or Bachelor’s degree a plus, but not required

· Basic computer and typing skills to include a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Experience with Profit Tools highly desirable

· Possess a strong customer service mentality

· Flexibility in dealing with tight deadlines and service sensitive issues on a daily basis

· Must possess strong written and oral communication skills

· Work well with others in a team environment

· Teachable and eager to learn

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
