Duties

• Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, slicers, and other small appliances.
• Maintain a clean work area by regularly cleaning surfaces, floors, and storage areas in compliance with safety standards.
• Support the culinary team with meal prep and ingredient handling to ensure timely service.
• Follow food safety protocols related to food handling, storage, and sanitation to prevent contamination.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Experience

• Training will be provided for motivated candidates.
• Food service or restaurant experience demonstrating familiarity with kitchen routines is highly valued.
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments.
• Skills in food preparation techniques such as slicing, chopping, and recipe adherence are advantageous.
• Experience operating kitchen equipment like dishwashers, slicers, or other culinary tools is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for effective teamwork with kitchen staff and maintaining a positive work environment.
• A background in catering or food industry roles that involve meal preparation and serving is beneficial.
