Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Environmental, Health&Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental programs across our IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), electronics processing, warehouse, and logistics operations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting industry certifications, and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
The EHS Manager will play a key role in protecting employees, minimizing operational and environmental risks, supporting sustainability initiatives, and ensuring compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental and transportation regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs, policies and procedures across all operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
- Support and maintain programs aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and R2 certification requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, environmental audits, and incident investigations; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee workplace safety programs related to electronics processing, refurbishment, recycling, battery storage and handling, warehouse operations, material handling equipment and shipping/receiving activities.
- Manage environmental compliance activities, including e-waste handling, battery management, waste disposal, recycling processes and hazardous materials management.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations governing the storage, packaging, labelling, and shipment of batteries and other regulated materials.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors and visitors.
- Maintain emergency response, fire prevention, spill response, evacuation and business continuity plans.
- Support customer, regulatory and certification audits and maintain required records, permits and documentation.
- Monitor EHS performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence and sustainability goals.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Warehouse, Logistics and Leadership teams to promote a culture of safety, accountability and environmental stewardship.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, recycling, electronics processing, ITAD or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT and hazardous materials regulations.
- Experience with battery storage and handling, e-waste management, environmental compliance and warehouse safety programs preferred.
- Experience supporting ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and R2 certification programs preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, OHST or equivalent are a plus.
