We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Apprentice to join our dynamic construction and electrical services team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of licensed electricians, gaining hands-on experience with both low and high voltage systems, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation. Responsibilities
Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on construction sites and commercial facilities. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate installation and repairs. Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure system integrity. Participate in the installation of low voltage systems, including communication lines and security wiring, adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Help with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical infrastructure setup when necessary. Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment on all job sites. Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues by diagnosing problems with schematics and technical documentation. Contribute to the completion of projects within designated timelines while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate effectively with team members across various trades to ensure seamless project execution.
Experience
Previous experience working on construction sites or in a related trades environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment such as ohmmeters is advantageous. Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams relevant to electrical systems is desirable. Experience with both low voltage (communications, security) and high voltage (power distribution) systems is a plus. Understanding of NEC regulations, electrical codes, and safety standards is beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn within a fast-paced construction environment.
