Embedded within Apple’s Security Engineering & Architecture organization, this role is on an engineering team that builds security infrastructure into Apple’s production build system and provides security engineering expertise and leadership across Apple to create security controls, observability, detections, responses, and workflows.
Description
We build the secure platform Apple relies on to apply AI safely to high-stakes engineering. You would design and operate services that sit in the critical path for engineering across Apple.
You would work on AI infrastructure and tooling that sits in the critical path at Apple-scale and high reliability demands. You will build and operate high-throughput, multi-region services: load shaping, capacity and quota allocation, observability, and large-scale cost controls.
You will solve security problems that do not have textbook answers yet, collaborating with some of the world’s best security experts.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent skills in Python or Go
Familiarity with LLMs and AI-assisted development tools
Experience building and operating cloud services and distributed systems at scale
Familiarity with security architecture design and review
Effective communication of complex technical concepts
Minimum Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science or 5+ years equivalent experience
Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving and logic in backend programming
Experienced with building cloud services and distributed systems at scale
Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of cross-organizational projects
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
