We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Language Arts Teacher to join a supportive school district in Summerville, South Carolina for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time school-based opportunity is ideal for an educator who is passionate about helping middle school students develop strong reading, writing, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

The position offers a collaborative educational environment where the selected teacher will work closely with school staff to provide quality instruction, support student growth, and create an engaging classroom experience.

Hours: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Scheduled Hours: 37.5 Hours/Week
Contract Length: 43 Weeks (School Year 2026–2027)

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Language Arts lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning.
• Assess student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
• Develop lesson plans, assignments, and classroom activities to support student achievement.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and parents to support student success.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-related activities.
• Maintain classroom management and encourage positive student behavior.

Requirements:

• Active South Carolina Department of Education (SC DOE) Teaching License with Language Arts Endorsement.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for working with middle school students.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and parents.
• Must complete all required onboarding modules within the designated timeframe after hire.
• Must meet all credentialing and compliance requirements before the start date.
