Position Summary: The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product and process quality across manufacturing operations. This role supports new product introduction, drives continuous improvement, and ensures compliance with internal quality systems and customer requirements. The Quality Engineer partners with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to reduce defects, improve process capability, and enhance supplier performance.
Requirements:
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have knowledge of quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, MSA, control plans, and process capability analysis
- Hands-on familiarity with CNC machining, assembly processes, soldering processes, and related inspection methods is required
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, first article inspection, and validation of production processes is required
- Must have effective communication skills
- Must have strong organizational abilities
- Must be proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- The ability to stay organized and manage time well
- The ability to be detail-oriented is very important to be successful in this role
Responsibilities:
Quality & Process Control
- Develop and maintain quality systems, procedures, control plans, and inspection standards for CNC machining, assembly, and soldering processes
- Implement in-process, first article, receiving, and final inspection strategies to ensure product conformance
- Establish data collection systems to monitor process performance, capability, and defect trends
- Partner with production teams to improve setup verification, work instructions, and quality checkpoints at critical operations
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
· Lead root cause analysis using structured methodologies
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives
New Product Development (NPD) Support
- Participate in design reviews, process reviews, and manufacturability assessments for new and revised products
- Lead APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plan, and process validation activities for product launches and engineering changes
- Validate process capability and inspection readiness for CNC machining, assembly, soldering, and other critical manufacturing operations
Supplier Quality Management
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality performance and resolve recurring nonconformances
- Review supplier PPAP submissions, inspection records, certifications, and process controls to ensure compliance with requirements
- Ensure incoming quality requirements, acceptance criteria, and inspection methods are clearly defined in purchase specifications and supplier documentation
Auditing & Compliance
- Conduct internal audits
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards
- Support external audits
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze quality trends and metrics
- Provide recommendations to leadership
- Track KPIs such as scrap, rework, and returns
Training & Cross-Functional Support
- Train employees on quality standards
- Support production troubleshooting
- Lead cross-functional improvement efforts
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by Management

Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field- Preferred)
Experience:
· 3–5+ years of experience in quality engineering within manufacturing.
· Experience in ISO-certified environment (Preferred)
