We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Safety Director to lead and manage our company's health, safety, and regulatory compliance programs. The Safety Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving safety initiatives that protect employees, clients, and the public while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience building a positive safety culture, conducting risk assessments, developing training programs, and partnering with operations to achieve zero-incident performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's comprehensive safety program.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Lead accident and incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct job site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Develop and deliver safety training, orientations, and continuing education programs.
• Analyze safety metrics and prepare reports for executive leadership.
• Manage workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, and injury prevention initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations to identify hazards and implement effective controls.
• Develop emergency response plans and coordinate emergency preparedness activities.
• Maintain required safety documentation and regulatory records.
• Oversee safety committee meetings and promote employee engagement in safety initiatives.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of progressive safety leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
• Experience leading safety programs in construction, manufacturing, industrial, transportation, or a related industry.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.Preferred
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• OSHA 500 or OSHA Outreach Trainer certification
• CHST, ASP, or other relevant safety certifications
• Experience with DOT compliance and fleet safety
• First Aid/CPR Instructor certification

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
