Duties

• Assist dentist chair side during a variety of procedures including crown, bridge, extractions, fillings, some endo, some implant procedures.
• Assistant must be comfortable and proficient in making temporary crowns and intraoral scanning.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures.
• Take dental x-rays and intraoral scans.
• Process dental instruments efficiently through proper sterilization techniques and aseptic methods to maintain a sterile environment.
• Bonus points if you have some knowledge on the administrative side such as insurance, because although we are fee for service, we do help patients use their OON benefits.

Requirements

• Certification in Expanded Functions Dental Assisting
• Certifications in Radiography
• Good Personality
• Experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting duties and clinical procedures
• Fabrication of temporary crowns and temporary bridges
• Comfortable and confident discussing treatment plans with patients
• Experience with inputting doctor diagnosed treatment into computer/electronic health record. (experience with Open Dental is a plus!)
• Strong understanding of infection control practices including dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention standards
• Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
