Are you an experienced construction leader who thrives on complex, high-voltage infrastructure?
We are seeking a high-performing Commercial Solar & EV Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end execution of our commercial, industrial, and community solar portfolios, integrated alongside cutting-edge DC Fast Charging (Supercharger) networks. In this role, you will bridge the gap between heavy civil work, utility-scale electrical upgrades, equipment vendors, and corporate clients to deliver megawatts of clean power and charging infrastructure safely, on time, and under budget.
As the Vice President of Construction, I am looking for a true field-operations peer—someone who commands the respect of Master Electricians and civil crews alike. You should be as comfortable discussing medium-voltage utility tie-ins, transformer lead times, and switchgear capacity as you are managing a critical-path schedule.
Key Responsibilities
● Project Lifecycle Ownership: Manage combined C&I solar installations and multi-stall EV Supercharging projects from post-handoff through civil earthwork, electrical commissioning, and utility interconnection.
● Heavy Electrical Coordination: Oversee complex electrical scopes, including the installation of medium-voltage transformers, switchgear upgrades, power distribution panels, and high-output DC fast chargers (Level 3/Superchargers).
● Schedule & Budget Management: Develop and maintain critical-path schedules (MS Project or Procore). Actively track project costs, material long-lead times, variance, and change orders.
● Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Vet, contract, and manage civil, structural, and heavy electrical subcontractors. Coordinate just-in-time delivery of major equipment (modules, inverters, switchgear, EV charging stalls).
● Utility & AHJ Interconnections: Lead the complex process of coordinating grid-capacity upgrades with local utilities and securing necessary permits from Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) for high-load installations.
● Safety & Quality Control: Enforce strict OSHA compliance and rigorous quality control standards for high-voltage electrical environments.
Required Qualifications
● Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of project management experience in heavy industrial electrical construction, commercial/industrial (C&I) solar, or utility-scale electrification.
● EV & Electrical Infrastructure Knowledge: Direct experience overseeing the deployment of heavy electrical infrastructure, including switchgear, transformers, and Level 3 DC Fast Chargers / Supercharging networks.
● Blueprint Proficiency: Expert-level ability to read, interpret, and redline complex civil, structural, and electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs) and three-phase schematics.
● Software Skills: Proficiency with modern construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Autodesk Build) and critical-path scheduling tools.
● Travel: Ability to travel to regional project sites as required to manage key milestones. Preferred (But Not Required) Qualifications
● Licensure: Active Journeyman or Master Electrician license is highly preferred.
● EVITP Certification: Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program certification.
● NABCEP Certification: PV Installation Professional or similar clean energy credentials.
● Certifications: OSHA 30 (Highly Preferred) or PMP certification.
● Education: Educational background in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent hands-on trade experience.
