iNc EMPIRE, LLC is a preferred recruiting partner of a growing manufacturer in the Mesa, AZ area. We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join their team.
These positions start out as Contract but will ideally move into a full time, Direct Hire role.
Shifts Available
3rd Shift - Friday - Sunday 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (work 36 hours get paid for 40)
4th Shift - Friday - Sunday 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (work 36 hours get paid for 40)
2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
1st Shift Monday - Thursday 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM

What experience are we seeking?
- 1+years of CNC lathe machining experience in a production manufacturing environment, with demonstrated setup experience (Swiss-style lathe experience strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to independently perform complete CNC machine setups from setup documentation.
- Demonstrated experience installing, aligning, and touching off tooling including drills, reamers, form tools, inserts, and live tooling.
- Ability to configure and adjust bar feeders, guide bushings, collets, and sub-spindle components.
- Demonstrated capability maintaining dimensional tolerances typically within ±.0005”.
- Experience performing independent first-piece validation and releasing jobs to production.
- Working knowledge of program structure and ability to perform wear edits and speed/feed adjustments.
- Strong blueprint interpretation skills including GD&T and dimensional stack-up analysis.
- Proficient use of precision inspection equipment and ability to identify dimensional trends.
- Prior experience mentoring junior machinists preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong blueprint interpretation skills including GD&T application, feature relationships, and dimensional stack-up awareness.
- Advanced working knowledge of CNC Swiss machine setup and operation.
- Ability to independently perform complete machine setups from approved documentation.
- Proficient in installing, aligning, and touching off tooling including drills, reamers, form tools, inserts, and live tooling.
- Ability to configure and adjust guide bushings, collets, sub-spindle components, bar feeders, and bowl feeders.
- Demonstrated capability maintaining dimensional tolerances typically within ±.0005”.
- Ability to independently validate first-piece inspection prior to production release.
- Working knowledge of CNC program structure with ability to perform wear edits and make speed/feed adjustments.
- Ability to diagnose and correct common machining instability including chatter, taper, runout, and tool deflection.
- Ability to identify scrap trends and implement corrective action.
- Strong documentation discipline in accordance with AS9100 and lot traceability requirements.
- Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to Machinist I and Trainee personnel.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills within a team-based manufacturing environment.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications or equivalent.
- Operate semi-automatic or automatic controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided.
- Run stable production jobs under no supervision.
- Load and monitor bar feeders and bowl feeders.
- Perform minor tool wear offset adjustments under guidance.
- Follow procedures to make and check parts for conformance to specifications.
- Perform in-process inspection using calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and pin gauges.
- Recognize tooling and procedures where tolerances are close but not complex or difficult to maintain.
- Recognize previously produced products and recreate on a consistent basis.
- Complete and maintain accurate traveler documentation and lot traceability in accordance with AS9100 requirements.
- Understand program sequence flow but does not modify core program structure.
- Maintain clean and organized work area (5S).
- Independently operate and setup multiple CNC Swiss lathes.
- Required to wear appropriate PPE and adhere to safety and LOTO policies.
- Proficient knowledge of machining operations including drilling, boring, milling, turning, threading, recessing, and profiling.
- Monitor tool wear and adjust offsets to maintain tolerance control typically within ±.0005”.
- Recognizes tooling wear and basic dimensional trends.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Perform tool changes (like-for-like replacement).
- Understand basic GD&T callouts (position, concentricity,
- perpendicularity).
- Perform complete CNC Swiss machine setups from setup documentation.
- Install, align, and touch off tooling including drills, reamers, form tools, inserts, and live tooling.
- Set and adjust guide bushings, collets, and sub-spindle components.
- Configure and adjust bar feeders and bowl feeders for reliable part presentation.
- Validate first piece inspection independently prior to production release.
- Troubleshoot dimensional instability including chatter, taper, runout, and tool deflection.
- Make program wear edits and adjust speeds and feeds appropriately.
- Reduce scrap through root cause identification and corrective action.
- Train and mentor Machinist I and Trainee personnel.
- Understand stack-up implications and dimensional relationships.
