Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven and dynamic District Manager to oversee multiple store locations, drive business growth, and build high-performing teams. This role is responsible for leading operations, developing talent, and executing strategies that maximize profitability and brand standards.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for people development, sales growth, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop General Managers and team members across multiple locations
- Drive sales growth, customer satisfaction, and market expansion through strategic planning
- Oversee financial performance, including P&L management, cost control, and revenue growth
- Ensure all locations meet Jimmy John’s operational and brand standards
- Conduct regular store visits to evaluate performance, provide coaching, and ensure compliance
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and service quality
- Support new store openings and renovations, ensuring smooth execution and timelines
- Partner with Regional Managers and marketing teams to achieve key performance metrics
- Maintain strong relationships with corporate liaisons and local communities
- Plan and lead General Manager meetings and training sessions
- Administer performance reviews, coaching, and corrective actions
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a District or Area Manager in food service or retail
- Minimum of 2 years multi-unit experience a must
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and develop talent
- Strong understanding of P&L management and financial analysis
- Demonstrated success in sales growth and business development
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Proficient in basic computer systems and reporting tools
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between locations
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced, moderately loud restaurant environment
- Frequent in-store visits required
- Exposure to kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, and knives
- Must follow all food safety and workplace safety standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs for extended periods
- Ability to drive frequently between store locations
- Ability to lift and move items as needed in a restaurant setting
