Compensation: $50,000 base salary + commission

Expected First-Year Earnings: $60,000-$70,000+

Springfield Striping & Sealing is seeking an Estimating & Project Coordinator to support our commercial estimating and project development team.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong construction background who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, coordinating projects, and helping deliver accurate estimates. While estimating experience is preferred, we're willing to train the right candidate with commercial construction experience and a desire to learn.

Working alongside our senior estimators, you'll assist with site evaluations, measurements, quantity takeoffs, project coordination, and proposal preparation for commercial paving, concrete, and site improvement projects.

This is not a commissioned sales position. Instead, you'll play a critical role in helping projects move from the initial site visit through a completed proposal while building valuable estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Visit commercial job sites to perform field measurements and document existing conditions.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs and project estimating.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Evaluate site conditions, drainage, grading, and existing pavement conditions.
• Coordinate project information between customers, estimators, operations, and subcontractors.
• Support proposal preparation and project documentation.
• Maintain organized project files and bid information.
• Assist with scheduling site visits and project coordination.
• Perform a variety of field and office responsibilities to support the estimating team.

Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for someone with experience in commercial construction. Experience in any of the following is highly valued:

• Asphalt paving
• Concrete construction
• Site development
• Excavation
• Grading and earthwork
• Civil construction
• General contracting
• Estimating or project coordination

Candidates should have a working knowledge of:

• Commercial construction practices
• Reading construction plans and specifications
• Quantity takeoffs and field measurements
• Asphalt and concrete construction methods
• Base preparation and subgrade concepts
• Stormwater drainage and site grading
• ADA accessibility requirements
• Construction materials and installation methods
• Jobsite safety practices

Estimating experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong construction knowledge.
